'Sup PeeWee! Just roaming around your awesome website and thought I'd say hi! It was great running into you and Jiff up in Maine last Sept. Funny how the trail works :) One minute I'm hiking up a hill (I should say Mountain, if I hiked it now I wouldn't think of it as a hill), and the next minute look up to see two beautiful smiling faces I haven't seen since Virginia! It made my day seeing you guys again, and I ended up summitting just a few days after that, on October 4th! So anyway, hopefully I'll be seeing you again this Sept. up at Mr. Maineiac's camp? Take care and be well - Long Stride

Pee Wee Darlin', I was just reading your last few journal entries. Got me all teary eyed, sniff..sniff. Seems like only yesterday. I climbed that magnificent mountain again last weekend. 4th time in less than two years and I never tire of it...picture perfect weather of course. Wish y'all could have been there. Can't wait to see you guys in Sept. Take care,
MAINEiac :)

well, um, I guess its just Eggman on the trail now. He ought to finish up in a week or so. LadyHawk and I jumped off after the Hermitage. Dropping off Egg at the trail last friday, and then saying 'goodbye for now' to LadyHawk 12 hours later was really sad.
miss you peewee dahlin. I'll give you a call if Im in the D/FW area at a decent time on my way home.

Hi Pam, Uncle Edman, young Edman and I rode that horrible black, smoke polluting cog train up Mt. Washington when young edman was about five or six years old. Believe me when i say it was the only way we would have ever gotten to the top. It was in July and we were in shorts and tank type tops. We nearly froze to death at the top. We were mighty glad to ride that same horrible black, smoke polluting cog train down to the hot bottom of the mountain. So glad you enjoyed your time there.

Hey Pee Wee! I got off the trail from Manchester Center in mid September after the WTC blew up and what not. This is a really hip journal you have here! It's cool to read and know everybody that you mention. I'm glad you made it back to the trail after Harper's Ferry even though I didn't get to see you afterward. Hey, tell LadyHawk thanks for carrying my stick for me! I hope that all the Walking Wounded stick together for that final assault on Katahdin, and that you all make it to Trail Days this year! Take care.

Aloha PeeWee! Just stopping in to let you know that you're still an inspiration for me. You go girl! I'm headed back out this weekend. Back to where I crawled off the trail three months ago. No thru-hike this year but still hiking. You keep in touch and let me know the agenda for your summit. I'll happily fly north to join you. Continue to enjoy each and every day of your Grand Adventure. I know I'm enjoying it with you! Aloha! Ann

I hope things are working out for you all. I back at work and would much prefer to be on the trail rather in school. The kids are great, it's the administration that driives me crazy. But next Monday I headin out to do my frist section in Jersey, near Harriman.Regards to the crew also--Egg man, Fossil,Jonah,Lady Hawk, and Sugar Daddy. I send good vibes for the rest of your fantastic journey. It was nice sharing time with you all.Happy trails, Gerard

Hey Pee Wee Great journal. Thank you for giving me the site when we met on the trail near Rt 309 Blue Mtn Summit. Enjoying your adventure. You are a great writer. Enjoyed what you wrote about Many Sleeps. Guess what? I met Baltimore Jack here on the trail at the Outerbridge Shelter on July 6, 1998!!!!!!!!! He told me then that this was his 3rd hike in 4 years. He told me on his first hike he had fallen in Maine about 30' and broke some ribs and was unable to finish until the following yr. Physical problems and work here to be done has kept me off the trail lately. God bless and keep you safe. Enjoying the trail with you, thanks for being my feet, eyes, and ears. Windchime

Aloha PeeWee! Just finished catching up on your journal -- most excellent. Love knowing that you've still mastered the art of "mooseying". You keep doing so and I'll join you yet. I have you last marked on my map at Delaware, PA. Remember -- go slow! As for me, looks like I will be able to return at the end of this month or beginning of next. Wuhuu!!! I swear, God willing and you're agreeable, we're going to hit Katahdin together! Most excellent! Enjoy the journey! Aloha!

Just hung up from chatting with you. As always it was great to hear your voice. Even better to know that you're continuing north. But most importantly, you've mastered the art of "mooseying". Thoreau would be pleased! Continue your journey and keep me posted on your whereabouts. I'm still determined to return and would love to "moosey" with you.
Enjoy the journey my friend.

I met up with PeeWee and Lady Hawk, on June 23, while I was trying to make connection with Shepherd of the Hills. Peewee and LadyH drank all my Pepsi's, took my fruit, and searched my pack for anything else edible! They were tired, and tanned... but smiling. They are alive and well, and hiking in Va!

Aloha PeeWee!
Surprise! I'm not ahead of you anymore. Looks like I'll be running to catch up with you hopefully in a couple of days. As soon as I do, I can also join the Walking Wounded! I blew a knee while climbing the mountain after Petite's Gap. I'm now home, restless as they come, nursing torn cartilage. I will return though. That's not a threat but a promise. Slow down and watch for me. The things a person will do to hike with those they truly enjoy. Slow down, okay?
Hope all is well. See ya soon.
